I introduced a new series on my website called "What I Learned". It's a fun little post about five things I've learned/enjoyed/appreciated about the past month. 

It's been life as usual around this neck of the woods...

My brother Thomas celebrated his 27th birthday and refused to be photographed. I caught this one of Dad instead. Note - he does not go out to eat unless it's to Martin's or Movie Star, but Thomas talked him into O'Charley's. Did y'all feel the earth shift on its axis that day?!

Little buddy was all tuckered out. Isn't he just the cutest?!

I'm still waiting for a few pieces from the Nordstrom anniversary sale. I've been loving maxis this summer including this one by Lush above. 

I always enjoy speaking engagements. It was awesome to share with this group of yahoos above at the Marketing Professionals for Senior Living luncheon!

Friday Favorites - And I'm Headed to the Beach!

Friday! I am so looking forward to this weekend. I'll be headed to Pensacola, FL with a couple of girlfriends, and I know it will be a blast. I'm sure we can get into some kind of trouble! Ha! We will be relaxing and completely leaving our worries behind till next week. 

As always, we are linking up with Narci, Erika, and Andrea for our weekly Friday Favorites where we share the highlights of our weeks. I have been a little slacker again in the photo department, a major blogger nono, but hopefully you will forgive me and enjoy anyway!

Friday Favorites - A Mini-Vacation and a Night to Remember!

Happy Friday! 

Who's looking forward to a three day weekend? Me!

As always, we are linking up with Andrea, Erika, and Narci for Friday Favorites. We share the highlights of our week, and today it is picture overload for you guys! The last few weeks have been pretty eventful, so here we go...

Judson and I made the trip up to Lake Enid last weekend for Mom's family reunion. I haven't seen some of them since long before she went into the nursing home, so it was so good to see them. As you can also see, my little bud Peanut joined us. He had a blast!

Doesn't he just look so happy? He rode four hours with no problems at all.

We took Peanut out on his first boat ride. At first he didn't know what to think, but then he loved it!

Last weekend I had to the opportunity to sing in the backup choir for one of my lifelong heroes - Sandi Patty! It was an experience I will never forget!

And the week before Sandi Patty I had a Meistersingers concert for Festival South!

(It's not an exaggeration when I say I go-go-go...)

I LOVE singing with this group. It's a real honor to be a part of the Meistersingers.

Kathy and I also spent a day at the Senior Resource Fair in the middle of all this.
